On November, the 6th in Tunis, at the premises of the Hotel El Mouradi, Gammarth, the 1st capitalization seminar of Tunisian Experiences in ENPI CBC MED projects was held. The initiative aimed at speaking about environmental and sustainability challenges faced by Tunisian partners of projects funded under the ENPI CBC MED Programme.
The event was opened at 9:30 am by the welcome speeches of the Studies Director of Higher School of Rural Equipment Engineers of Medjez El Bab, Dr. Khaled el Mouaddeb, the General Director of cross-border cooperation with the European Union from the Ministry of Development and International Cooperation in Tunisia, Madame Moufida Jaballah Srarfi and the Director of the Italian Embassy Cooperation Office, Cristina Natoli who congratulated on the impact of the ENPI CBC Med Programme in Tunisia. Finally, Dr. Fatma Trabelsi and Dr. Maria Laura Foddis, the Project Officer in Tunisia and the Project Coordinator of LANDCARE MED and the representative of the Municipality of Decimoputzu respectively, expressed their thankful feelings to all attendants.
The seminar has been dedicated to exchange experiences, best practices and new opportunities among the Tunisian partners of ENPI CBC MED projects where the topic is “Environmental challenges and sustainable development ”: LANDCARE MED, MAPMED, MED3R, GMI, FOSTEr in MED, SMOT, OPENWIND, ILE, MED-PHARES.
The event proved to be a wonderful opportunity to develop future synergies in the field of sustainable waste management.
