On the forthcoming December, the 21st 2015, the Technical Day on waste management organised by the LandCareMed Project - funded by the European Programme ENPI CBC MED - will be held in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. The Project aims at defining and testing new and more adequate methods to be in compliance with a sustainable rural and domestic waste management.
The workshop envisages a technical session under whose scope several waste treatment platforms based in Sardinia will be presenting the environmental issues on the one side and on the other side the opportunities potentially offered by the most important categories of waste. An overview of the legislation on waste management will be drawn with particular regard to the sustainable management of the Rural waste.
Representatives of local authorities from all Municipalities of Sardinia, as well as operators in the sector, will be invited to gather together on this occasion. This will be a chance and an occasion not only to speak with each other of the Project and the results it has reached up until now, but also for the conclusion of bilateral agreements between the Project Partners and those Administrations amenable to adopt the management model experimented thanks to the Project.
Given the nature and the purpose of the event, a general framework on the accessibility to sources of funding either European or regional will be drawn throughout the day, even in view of the new programming.
Finally, pursuant to the regulation on the Lifelong Learning, 3 CFP (Professional Formative Credits) will be recognised to engineers attending the event.
